TEDxBangsar Baru
Eighteen minutes, one idea.
On 28 November 2026 I will give a talk at TEDxBangsar Baru, an independently organised TED event, held this year at Universiti Malaya in Kuala Lumpur. It is a full day of talks for an audience of about a hundred people, and each speaker has up to eighteen minutes.
Eighteen minutes is a discipline I recognise from the kitchen. A tasting menu works when every course earns its place and nothing is there for show. A talk is the same: one idea, carried all the way through, with nothing added that the idea does not need.
The talk will be filmed, and an edit may appear on the TEDx YouTube channel. The title will be announced nearer the day, and I will add it here when it is.
A talk is a dish with one ingredient: the idea. It has to be worth the time.
