What helps the conversation begin well
A short, considered first message — your name, organisation, what you are trying to build, the date framework, and the alignment you have seen between your work and mine. Fifty considered words are worth five hundred general ones. Replies issue in business hours, Kuala Lumpur, Monday through Friday.
The disposition behind the address
Most of what I do is conversation. The conversations I value most are the ones I did not begin — the ones that arrive because someone, somewhere, recognised something in the work and chose to write.
I do not respond to every enquiry. Where there is no clear alignment of standing, scope, or values, a courteous decline is the considered reply. This is not selectivity for its own sake; it is the discipline of being able to bring full attention to the work I accept. What I accept, I accept with care. What I decline, I decline with respect. Either way, your enquiry has been read.
